We got a great reception from Aniyah the receptionist. Who went on to make sure that we had a great stay. Talking to other guests and staff made me know that she's like that to every guest. She is an Angel. Above and beyond, I told my husband but he said any word beyond greater than that, fits better.
The manager, Soraya was nice too. We kept getting messages every morning to check on us and find out if we are ok and if we need anything.
The coffee was always hot and never lacked a refill. I enjoyed that.
At breakfast, we noticed some great staff, Mitchell, works sooooo hard cleaning and moving trash, she is so dedicated. Yoyo is an angel, a darling to all adults and children.
I think they run a great team there. My husband and I plan to go back. We have also told people about there in this short while.
I didn't turn the TV on because I loved seeing my name on the screen when I came in, I didn't want it to disappear.
The last time I saw that was in Savoy Hotel, Sharmel Sheikh, years back, so, I was thrilled!
These staff at Hampton Inn & Suites Savannah Historic District, 603 Oglethorpe Ave. Savannah make the hotel a home away from home, I give it to them.

Easy walking, great food, cool history. The river was a bit too touristy but to be expected. Still lovely. Enjoyed the architecture and the historic squares. The Savannah College of Art and Design Museum was awesome.

Savannah was great!
Savannah was great! It is easily walkable with many sights to see. I recommend taking a tour of the city to get the feel of places to follow up and explore more deeply. There are many things to see in this old city. Ate at what were described as "cheap eats" all the food was delicious.

Lots of restaurants to choose from.
Lots of restaurants to choose from. Along the riverfront with a view or on the upper streets as well. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Enjoyed the Hop On Hop Off Trolley and some boat and port tours. Easy to walk around, take the ferry or trolley, or get an Uber.

Use the "dot" trolley to get around the historic district.
Use the "dot" trolley to get around the historic district. It is free and runs every 10-30 minutes. Go to farmer's market on Saturday and buy local art/produce rather than spend money in all the tourist traps. River street has its charm and great views but you'll want to venture out and see more of the historic area. If you have the time, schedule a day to visit Tybee.

The design of the city with great towering trees in large garden plazas through city is worth a few days in Savannah. There are some very beautiful streets with courtyard gardens. Some very nice places to eat and rooftop bars and eating places. Great walking town. Lots of tours and night ghost walks that are very touristy, but opportunity to tour city at night with guides. We felt that 3 days was max time needed to see the City. Airport is white in 25 minutes from downtown.

The deeply seeded history of Savanah is a wonder to behold!!
The deeply seeded history of Savanah is a wonder to behold!!! The individual squares dedicated to individuals important to Savanah's past are beautiful and well-maintained. The Hop on, Hop Off Trolleys are fun, and each conductor is well-versed in interesting points and the history of their city.

Great location. Plenty of space for us and our school aged son.
As it was not tourist season we had no trouble parking.
It's a short walk to historic downtown Savannah and within a half hour's drive you can see Tybee Island, Bonaventure Cemetery and Wormsloe.
Very helpful and kind hotel staff. Great location - the hotel is about 20 mins walk time from the river street. You will pass through the best parts of the town on your way there. Parking was fairly easy and cheap in the Liberty Street Parking Garage nearby.
The location was amazing. You can walk pretty much anywhere downtown. The price was the lowest in the area so that was a plus and the staff was so helpful and friendly. Besides the location, they may have been the best part of the stay.
Perfectly situated in the heart of the historic district. Easy walking distance to the riverfront and local restaurants, bars etc.
Love Savannah and would definitely try to stay at this property in the future.
